Bay Area Chapter Meeting

The California Medical Instrumentation Association's (CMIA) Bay Area Chapter meetings usually take place on 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please be sure that the Chapter has your current e-mail address! We are now using email delivery as an adjunct to the postal service in delivering the newsletter (MS Word format). We are also using Evite Invitations (Evite.com on the internet) to get a count of how many are going to attend to make the food service as efficient as possible. Respond to the invitation by clicking “yes, I will attend” or “no, I will not attend” below the invitation. Ken Lindsay and Jason Stroh from Medtronic Navigation will be presenting the StealthStation Surgical Navigation System.  Used in neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery, the StealthStation provides real-time feedback on the location and position of surgical instruments in relation to the patient's anatomy.  This presentation will demonstrate the basic set-up and use of the computer system as well as provide valuable troubleshooting techniques for your interaction with the technology.
