Medical Laser Specialist (BMET)
Universal Hospital Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a Medical Laser Specialist (BMET)
to provide cost effective maintenance and repair service on UHS and customer-owned medical laser equipment to assure it is functioning properly and meets our customer's needs. The role will require travel to customer sites and UHS
locations entailing approx 50% travel. A company vehicle will be provided.
Qualified candidates need to have 2-5 years Medical Laser Manufacturer
Field Service experience along with a two-year associate degree in
electronics or equivalent military education, CLRT certification
(preferred). Candidates should have an understanding of solid-state
electronics, circuits, basic laws of physics, pneumatic systems, and Laser Technology & Applications. You will need to have a valid driver's license

is seeking a full-time X-ray Specialist (Radiological Equipment Specialist) for Sacramento.
DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for performing repair and maintenance on a variety of complex imaging systems and associated equipment. Including diagnostic radiography systems, angiography, digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR), digital mammography, fluoroscopy, special procedure imaging, portable x-ray machines and other associated support equipment. This position will coordinate imaging equipment system vendor repairs in order to manage uptime within the requirements of the imaging departments. In addition, the incumbent will coordinate and assist vendors in installing medical imaging equipment.
REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of high level x-ray and other medical imaging system equipment. Electronic technician skills including electronic troubleshooting, systems troubleshooting, ability to read electronic schematics, perform electronic and electromechanical repair. Knowledge of computers as they apply to medical imaging systems (e.g. networking, DICOM). Prior completion of at least one factory-based training class on a primary assigned system is preferred. Knowledge of radiation safety requirements. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy sufficient to understand the function of complex medical imaging devices. Ability to communicate with staff and vendors regarding equipment issues with both verbal and written communication methods. Certified Radiological Equipment Specialist (CRES) preferred.

Job requires daily travel to customer sites throughout the greater LA area. Technician must be able to lift parts or carry equipment weighting a few ounces to over 100 lbs. Tech will frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unusual positions requiring full body mobility. Work from ladders or scaffolding is required for installations of equipment.
Your primary role will be as a Service Technician but will also include project management responsibilities for larger projects and equipment installations. Day to day responsibilities include:
1) Quick identification and resolution of mechanical equipment failures.
2) Provide the customer with appropriate communication and involve appropriate site service personnel.
3) Ability to demonstrate ownership in difficult circumstances by communicating both with company staff, manufacturers and customers.
4) Sense of urgency about getting results prioritized by both time management/organization and ability to work independently.
5) Must also be able to communicate and work with Sales Representatives in regard to sales, service and installation opportunities.
6) Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is a plus.

Biomedical Engineering Manager
Sutter Health Support Services (SHSS), the home office of Sutter Health is looking for a Director of Biomedical Engineering to oversee the technical aspects of the operation of Sutter's Biomedical Engineering Center (BMEC). This position ensures that client services are delivered effectively and that regulatory commitments are accomplished. It also acts as primary contact for the Sacramento Sierra clients and manages the service delivery and Clinical Engineering activities for all BMEC customers. This position oversees the development of new service relationships in the affiliated Sutter entities as well as is responsible to develop new service relationships with non Sutter organizations.
Education: A Masters degree is required or equivalent education and experience
Experience: Management experience in the support of technology for health care organizations as would typically be acquired through 10 years work experience in the health care industry is required. Experience in contract negotiation and analysis is required. Experience in the management of a multi-client service delivery system is desirable. P&L experience is desirable. Experience in working with diverse groups to achieve consensus around complex initiatives is important.
