Marian Regional Medical Center is looking to hire a BMET 2 (Biomedical Equipment Technician level 2) to be part of the Clinical Engineering Department supporting a variety of patient care, diagnostic, and treatment equipment for the facility.
Position of Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 provides routine daily services to maintain Medical Equipment at a functional and operational level to regulatory standards and requirements. Under the overall direction and supervision of the Clinical Engineering Manager, is responsible for installation, inspections, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, safety testing and preventive maintenance of various diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient care medical equipment, including life support equipment.
Experience in the repair and maintenance of biomedical instrumentation as a BMET 1. AA in electronics or related field. Ability to work in technically and mentally demanding situation. High degree of concentration is required for detailed work. Must have the ability to work well with others. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Possess decision-making skills. Ability to follow through with appropriate actions as situation warrants. Able to work well with other departments in a friendly and effective manner.
