Priyanka Upendra is the Compliance Program Director of Technology Management at Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona. She works closely with Information Technology and Environmental Health & Safety on medical device cybersecurity, clinical engineering quality & compliance, and ISO certification efforts. She is a member of AAMI’s Technology Management Council, EQ Standards Committee, BI&T Editorial Board, Awards Committee, Nominating Committee and H-ISAC’s MDSISC and PSIC. Prior to Banner Health, Priya served at Intermountain Healthcare, Stanford Health Care, and Stanford Children’s Health and is a research adviser for BME undergrad and grad students at San Jose State University and B.M.S College of Engineering. Priya holds a master’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical Devices) from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s in Medical Electronics Engineering from B.M.S College of Engineering, Visvesvaraya Technological University, and is pursuing a Doctorate degree in Health Administration.
